Most people who have this AV receiver in their home theater have little trouble. Many of the most common problems with this receiver have been corrected through firmware updates. The most common issues that people had include Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity problems, a clunky HEOS interface, and some issues with audio and video distortion.

This receiver offers the latest in audio and video playback but lacks a few features newer models include. This unit was introduced in 2018, and so predates HDMI 2.1. It does have some features such as eARC, but full integration is included in the succeeding model. Another feature it lacks is Dolby Atmos Height Visualization. In most home theaters, this feature is of debatable value, but if you have high ceilings, you might miss this feature.
In all, this is a solid AV receiver that has great features and will provide all the power you need. It’s plenty versatile and offers tons of configuration options to match your home theater. The lack of some modern features may be important to some buyers, others may not notice the lack.
